Current Vis-Dev uni project was to read The Emerald City and illustrate any 2 moments of our choice! Here’s my preliminary character designs for my 2 chosen moments.
illustrations to come soon!
My latest portfolio project! My twist on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, I focused on Fagin’s gang! I wanted to push the story into 1920’s New York and challenge myself with adapting the characters, working with more structured inner city environments and generally mess about with styles
Group Project layouts part 2 + prop~
Finally. FINALLY, I’m confident with perspective.
Going back to my mentorship project. Surgery and starting my second year of uni set me back loads so I’m still working on it!
Took my greyscale thumbnail to colour.
I’m doing this group project at uni, it’s gonna be a 3D animation and it has truly made me realise you need concept art for EVERYTHING… Set dressing will be the death of me.
More uni group work!
Excuse me whilst I go raid the fruit basket in my kitchen now..
Some initial concepts of the mouse girl for my current project!
Liking no. 3 at the mo!
Finished room from my mentorship post! This took me 2 and a half days of solid work, looking forward to crit! Now excuse me whilst I go purchase a new arm.
Props coloured! Man these took FOREVER… I painted both sets on the same guides starting with the top set
Motivarti 4 weeks of Assignments! Sort of an art filler since I’m up to my face with uni work right now… Okay so maybe it’s not as much as I’d liked, but damn I’ve been busy! My mentor has been super understanding and great, so this project will definitely continue after the mentorship! Learnt a great deal so far just working with props- Exploring the importance of shape and style consistency. My mini story I created follows a little mouse girl and her first adventure outside of her home in search of potion ingredients- so the next few weeks will include character design and more enviro, what you see here is the development of the little mouse girl’s room and certain items that are important to her. I’d also like to point out a lot of time was spent learning how to paint properly!- hence the desk haha (:
